Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I finish my AS degree upon completion of the industry certification program?
Yes! The only question would be what other financial aid may be available to you.  Gulf Coast State College can help with this!
How much will this program REALLY cost me?
College tuition and industry certification education and training are covered as part of this program.  The only potential costs out of pocket for this program would be onsite training requirements which would be no longer than 1 week at stage 1, and no longer than 3 weeks at stage 2.
I've never flown an unmanned aircraft, can I still take part in this program?
Yes! If seats are available, this program is available to you.
Can I complete the Advanced certs in Stage 2 without completing the 2-3 week flight training?
Yes!  This is possible and common, especially if you don't plan on operating technology at that level but are looking for safety management, payload operations, or data processing type of job roles in the industry.  Please be sure to let us know that in the application process.
