Visual Line-of-Sight System Operations™
The Visual Line-of-Sight System Operations™ (VSO™) Certification Program is a system of instruction, which includes curricula, facilities, instructors, check airman, courseware, instructional delivery methods, and testing and checking procedures. This Program ensures that each crewmember remains adequately trained for each aircraft, duty position, and kind of operation in which the person serves.
USI’s industry-leading VSO™ Certification Program provides the prospective remote pilot-in-command with adequate training to enable him or her to understand the aircraft systems, performance parameters, emergency procedures, emergency drills, FARs, the ATC system, meteorology & weather, Ops Specs, MELs, Launch and Recovery, and other special subjects.

AEROSPACE INDUSTRY CERTIFICATION
The VSO™ Certification is offered through academic partners and at various USI Partner Academy™ located throughout the United States. Training is composed of operational flight instruction on a specific unmanned aircraft and is conducted at the direction of a USI-approved Chief Remote Pilot Instructor.
At the conclusion of the VSO™ Certification Program, the individual involved will be able to successfully demonstrate his or her knowledge of the regulations, polices, and procedures applicable to each specific block of VSO™ program instruction.
